While in the Army in Germany, I bought some Silva Mind Control tapes (before I married my wife so over 33 years ago). I listened to these tapes for over a year, and I have never experienced anything like them. Due to this NaNo writing thing, I dredged up an old memory about using these tapes.

I really found the tapes quite helpful, as they taught a lot of memory techniques, and imaging techniques. As I progressed through the tapes, they had you visualizing walking up to your home and siting in your living room. You then scanned the walls in your living room, and then changed the colors of the walls. As I went further they had you projecting yourself into various materials, wood, copper brass, steel and other things, where you imagined the material to be the size of the earth while you were in the center.

You started out in your living room (always walked up to the door of the house, and went to the living room.) sitting on a chair with a cube of the material rotating in front of you. Then projecting your mind into the material, tasting it, smelling it. knocking on it, and other things. Well the next step was to create a laboratory with instruments from antiquity, the present, and the future. You also met your male and female spiritual guides. I had Einstein as my male guide, and Sher as my female guide.

You entered the laboratory from below the laboratory floor. It was floor above your living room. You then met your advisers and started your training in remote viewing and healing. The first healing or viewing regarded a pet. Well all I had was a freshly bought goldfish in a small tank. I visualized the fish, and in the morning found the fish floating belly up in the tank. I thought well no more of the remote viewing and stopped my exploration into Silva Mind Control. I mean the fish was new and very healthy before I did my remote viewing, and I was supposed to remote view people next. It really scared me a bit.

I must admit though, I came up with both of my rather fantastic ideas, one stolen by my company commander, which became real. (I could care less about it, since the only purpose it would serve was the military, and well, fortunately I never had to go into combat or kill anyone.) I worked very hard to stay away from any armed conflict, and the Army can use my idea as much as they want, but I think they found it had only limited success.

The idea was to use real time stereo cameras to capture 3 D images of an area and play them on a screen on the opposite side. Think of the movie predator which came out at least a decade later, for the physical explanation of the concept. I called it the invisible tank.

We only had the beginnings of the technology, but when the jerk company commander asked me to remove it from suggestion awards because it was too important, HE disappeared, and we never heard from him again. The silver lining on this cloud was that he disappeared, he really was a jerk, and we got a much better company commander.

I also had my other idea, which does not exist yet, but people have patented the concept, without creating the device. I know it does not exist because the military would use it as a weapon too, and no more Ossama Ben Laden. However this idea, like most, except the stupid invisible tank, can be used for wonderful things, or as a weapon. I want to own the device, if possible, so I can control its use.

Well it may not work, but I will do my rather cheap experiment to find out if it does, when I retire. Look out world, I feel like the lawnmower man.

Ah, I have gone off topic, per normal. I love tangents.

Back to Jose Silva and his Method, I just searched his name on the Wiki and the organization is a multi million dollar business. I never took the training, and I wonder, wow, could this training help me to increase my inventiveness.

Anyone out there that has done either Silva Mind Control or the Silva Method? If so please respond to this blog. Thank you.

I did a feminist Wicca version of Sliva in the late 70s in Chicago, called Woman Craft. I found it fun and useful. Remote viewing and viewing the microscopic elements of one's body -- I enjoyed these but took everything as something you can enjoy doing without having to be too rigidly wedded to belief. And that flexibility itself has been useful too.
Katie,

Yes, I still use the Silva relaxation techniques, especially when attempting contemplative prayer. I have never done Wicca, but I have a few friends a church that wandered into for a while.

I have grounded myself into Catholicism, yet I do not believe that a person has to be Christian, to do God's will, and I also think that many great and small souls in other religions have as good of a chance to make it to heaven as any Christian, since I believe God thinks a lot differently than we think, in our limited experience on this planet. I think if I was raised a Hindu, I would be Hindu, if I was raised in the Muslim religion, I would be a Muslim, as a Buddhist, then a Buddist and the same for the Judaic religion. I have wonderful Buddhist neighbors, whom I admire for their sense of community, and their work ethic.

I really no know nothing about Wicca though, but then I know little about the Muslim religion. I really do not know as much as I want about the Catholic version of Christianity.

I do have Heretical concepts, I love Edgar Cayce's concept of Christ, and his concept on the evolution of souls. One of these days, I will talk to a Catholic priest about it. When we blend re-incarnation and Christianity, we may have a better idea of why so many of us suffer (Karma). It is the only way, I can accept the problem of evil in a world that God made perfect.

Well off to the tea.
